Urban Threads launched in 2019 with a single product — a heavyweight black tee, made in Aba — and the conviction that fashion did not have to be disposable. Five years and 47,000 customers later, we still make that tee. It is still the same weight. The pattern is unchanged. We have just gotten better at sewing it.

Our pieces are designed in our Victoria Island studio and produced in three small factories in Aba, Abeokuta, and Cairo. We visit every facility quarterly. We pay above local market wages. We never order more than we can sell, which means our staples sometimes sell out — and our limited pieces sell out fast.

If you buy something from us and it does not last five years of regular wear, send it back. We will repair it, replace it, or refund you in full.
